Celeste has grown into a pan-India brand with an expanding global footprint, now retailing across the USA and the UK through e-commerce and curated collaborations. Our blends and design sensibility have received recognition across leading lifestyle and design publications, including AD, Vogue, Travel + Leisure, and several others.

I didn’t step into the world of tea — I returned to it.

I grew up in Siliguri, watching my father — a renowned tea taster — swirl, sip, and assess leaves with a kind of devotion that felt sacred. Walking through misty gardens, learning to recognise a good leaf by its aroma, quietly shaped my earliest understanding of craftsmanship. Years later, after a successful career in interior design, I found myself wanting to return to that ritual. That longing became Celeste.

To honour my roots, I trained under Jane Pettigrew at the UK Tea Academy and earned my Tea Sommelier certification. It reinforced what my father taught me — precision, patience, and the belief that tea should be brewed with intention, not haste.

Celeste is born from a simple truth: A well-crafted cup can create a moment of clarity in the middle of a fast, full life. For me, Celeste is not just a brand — it is a way to bring mindful luxury into everyday living, one intentional cup at a time. At the heart of my work is a mission to educate India on the art of brewing tea the right way, and to encourage a deeper culture of mindfulness through simple daily rituals.
